CONCEPT: Town
and Gown is the University of Southern California's official caterer.
Located in the heart of the campus, Town and Gown headquarters
has been a meeting place for members of the University and the
outside community since its inception in 1935. Town and Gown Catering
is frequently used for University events and social events and such as
bat mitzvahs, bar mitzvahs, Wedding receptions and Anniversary engagements.
FACILITIES:
The Town and Gown dining room can accommodate 550 guests for formal
sit-down dinners and 1,500 guests for receptions. The facility
is also available for use by organizations outside the University.
AMBIENCE:
The Town and Gown dining room captures the warm ambiance and formal
elegance often reserved for small restaurants. It is accented
with French doors, arched ceilings, chandeliers and a grand piano.
The garden courtyard, admired for its fountain and tranquil setting,
serves as the perfect location for an outdoor event.
TOWN AND GOWN LADIES:
Town and Gown Ladies is a philanthropy which was organized in
1904 and deemed the 'Women's Club of the University of Southern
California'. The club is supported by friends of the university
for the benefit of student scholarships and the improvement of
the Town and Gown facility. Town and Gown Ladies holds monthly
meetings to plan charity events such as the Holiday Luncheon and
the annual spring fashion show.
