Town & Gown Ladies
Throughout the year, members of Town and Gown Ladies gather at Town and Gown for their annual meetings and luncheons. Town and Gown is a philanthropy supported by friends of USC for the benefit of student scholarships, the improvement of the Town and Gown facility and chapel, and the development of understanding and amity.
Within this organization, founded in 1904 as the Women's Club of the University of Southern California and given its present title in 1922, there are two groupings of members: TOWM members are friends of the University, including alumnae, who are not connected with USC in a professional or contractual capacity, and Gown members, who are themselves, or whose spouses, are part of the University's teaching, research, clinical, administrative, athletic or professional staffs.
