Assistant Vice President of Retail Operations
Kris is the Assistant Vice President of Retail Operations for Auxiliary Services, reporting to Associate Senior Vice President, Dan Stimmler.
Kris oversees Retail Operations which include USC Hospitality and the USC Radisson Hotel as well as contributes on special university projects. Since joining Auxiliary Services in 2009 as Director of Hospitality, Kris has made significant contributions across retail operations which include 43 venues between the two USC campuses, opening 19 new venues, rebranding 11 venues and strategically implementing 7 new USC brands.
Kris previously served as corporate director for Strategic Alliance Group, where he oversaw a multi-faceted cross-section of accounts for Compass Group. Kris is an advocate for lifelong learning and an avid (more like voracious) reader. He infuses his leadership style and teachings with trend setting and industry tested applications gained. He expects his employees to do the same. Kris enjoys spending time with his two sons, competing in races and triathlons with friends. He also enjoys searching out new restaurants and culinary trends.
Kris holds a Bachelor’s degree in German and International Relations from USC and most recently earned his Executive Masters in Business Administration, also from USC. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corp where he served as an Air Traffic Controller. Kris is active in many hospitality and auxiliary industry associations and will serve as the president of the Pacific Region for NACUFS in 2015.
