Erik Russell is the Associate Director of Residential Dining for USC Hospitality, reporting to Assistant Vice President of Retail Operations, Kris Klinger. Residential Dining operates 3 residential dining halls as well as the athletic dining room serving 8,500 meal plan students, student athletes, and guests with approximately 11,000 meals per day.
Erik has 22 years of restaurant and hospitality experience and prior to joining USC served as Director of Training and Development for Grill Concepts and 12 years as a General Manager for respected brands such as The Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen, and SBE Lifestyle. He has a B.S. in Business Management and an MBA in Finance from California Lutheran University as well as an Executive Masters in Leadership from the University of Southern California.
Erik is front-line leader and believes in teaming as a verb, authenticity, agile communications, growth mindsets, genuine collaboration, psychological safety, and value-based leadership.
Erik has two children and in his free time he enjoys watching baseball and college football, lounging at the beach or park, and is training for his first backpacking adventure.
